The range of applications for wear parts is very diverse. For example, carbide / HSS knives are often used for cutting or punching. The cutting edges, which become blunt after some time, can be sharpened again by regrinding. This prolongs the service life by a factor of X – making extremely cost-effective production possible.
Another area of application is measurement technology. Here it is important to use low-wear materials (e.g. CBN / PCD inserts) in order to achieve the longest possible service life of the probe and thus the most accurate measurements in the long term.
