CVD diamond far surpasses polycrystalline diamond (PCD) in terms of its mechanical and thermal properties. Especially in very abrasive applications, it often has a clear advantage over PCD. The CVD cutting material consists of pure diamond crystals without binder material, which are deposited from a gas phase in a special C(hemical) V(apour) D(eposition) process. However, due to the higher processing costs, it must be considered in advance in which areas of application this cutting-edge material will provide an economic advantage. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The CVD-tipped cutting tools are brazed in our in-house high-vacuum furnace. Brazing \/ joining CVD to a carbide base carrier is only possible in a vacuum brazing process. It is often worth using a laser-generated chip breaker to prevent the formation of flow chips. We use CVD grades from various manufacturers in order to be able to respond optimally to your requirements.
